DAMMIT! I yearn for the days of Soapy Movies that gave a BREAK |
|
Edited on Thu Mar-23-06 07:44 PM by KoKo01
from Vietnam and the Cold War.... There used to be something besides "Endless War" and "Grim Reaper" stuff. Just a "BREAK" so one could collect their thoughts before they trooped off to the latest "Indy Film" to get back into grim "Reality."
Give me some Goldie Hawn/ some Song and Dance/ Some Soapy Tear Jerkers.
Give me something for RELIEF! We used to have BALANCE...because somehow those who did "Media Programming" understood the psychological makeup of their viewers better than these "Sledgehammer Thugs" the ones who just want ADVERTISING/CREDIT FINANICING to RULE and the Programming follows the CORPORATISTS INTERESTS.
I want the "Old Days Back!" I'd even settle for a new version of "Beverly Hillbilly's" done as "Atlanta Hillbillies Do Vegas" if I could GET AWWWAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!

1. Watched Raising Helen a couple weeks ago cuz I needed some sweet! |

Things are so bad that Havocdad sat through The Parent Trap re-make with me. Told him there were no car chases, explosions or portrayal of terrorist cells and rogue CIA agents. He smiled and said it was OK, he wanted to watch the movie. That's burn-out, folks!
Watched a movie called Dear Frankie the other night. It was very sweet. We all need a little escape for a couple hours. ;)
