One Year Ago Today
I lost my brother to this heinous war. I will never forgive the president and I will never forgive those that voted him into office.

He was 19 years old. He joined so that he would have college money because the recruiter told him he would never get in without going through the army first. He left behind two children and mother and brother who loved him very much.

Their apologies aren't good enough
Their excuses aren't good enough
Their justifications aren't good enough

If they really supported the troops and their families they would send them home

NOW!

May Allah grant you peace Teddy!

My heart bleeds even as I type this I remember growing up with him. He warm smile. His character. He wanted to be a Lawyer.

Thank you for allowing me a platform to get his off my chest

Good Night

1. That is so sad
I cannot imagine the pain you must be feeling, as well as the anger, because I am not in your shoes. Please accept my condolences to you, and all your brother's loved ones.

6. I am so sorry for your loss.
Unfortunately, you're not the first DU'er who has entered this grief zone. I am terribly afraid you will not be the last.

But your fellow DU'ers have a lot of wide shoulders, and a lot of caring. Hang in there. It won't get "better", but it may just get a little easier.

8. I am so very sorry for your loss, and for all the losses caused by the
lunatics currently ruining our country. Know that our thoughts and prayers are with all of you, and that we are working as hard as we can to stop this nightmare, so that more families do not endure this pain and sorrow.
This is a place where you can come to vent, to rage, whatever you, and others who are suffering like you, need to do to help you through this time.
I wish you peace.

14. I post this with GREAT reluctance.
All due respect, but I was hoping as a gesture of respect, to make a banner (much like my own) for your brother.

For the LIFE of me, I can't find him. :wtf:

I've done search after search after search. Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom, Nothing !!!

I don't want anyone to think this was done out of spite, it was completely altruistic, but check for yourself.

I'm a tenacious little bastard, and when I put my mind to something, I don't give up. I was dedicated to helping InsanityInc out, yet . . . well look for yourself.

Only one died in Iraq, Travis Bruce. http://www.defenselink.mil/releases/2005/nr20050325-2281.html

6 died in the ENTIRE Month in Afghanistan http://www.icasualties.org/oef/byCountry.aspx?hndQry=US

The only Wells who died in that month - Charles Wells, 32 http://www.defenselink.mil/releases/2005/nr20050401-2364.html

InsanityInc - :wtf: is going on ?

To all DUers, it fills me with regret to do such a thing. Forgive me for being so callous. I will gladly delete this post if/when the truth is outted, but for now I can't help but feel an affront to my altruism. People pour their hearts out on these boards, please tell me that I'm a cynical bastard, I'd much rather that than the other logical conclusion.

but I think we both know what is going on. I did want to thank you for the links however. From a certified computing klutz I'll take all the help I can get.

18. only that there seems to be no record of Mr. Wells
in any list of war casualties. There have been some false postings in the past, and we have grown wary. Trust, but verify, right?

Perhaps we are missing some key information?

20. I'm not saying either way but
"Outside court, Libby stood silently by as his newly hired lead defense attorney, Theodore Wells, said Libby would "fight these charges and clear his good name." The remarks seemed to indicate Libby will not try to cut a deal with Fitzgerald."

Like I said, I am not saying this thread is misleading, but I did see that.

22. Thank you

I have no idea why his name isn't in any of the lists. Really. What I say is true. If I wanted to make up some false claim wouldn't I have verified a name first. I don't know. But I do assure you that my brother Teddy died from an rocket propelled grenade launcher on the 23rd of March 2004 at approx 2:00 Iraqi Time, while on patrol, in the streets of Baghdad. Give me a little bit and I'll see if I have a pic I can post and what unit he is in.

Again, thank you, I had no idea. I will make some phone calls and look into this

Sam
