WE are on the side of the law.
WE are on the side of the Constitution.
No matter how you want to "pretend" that there is a liberal media taking up our cause...that delusion has proven time and again to be false.
With a handful of dedicated journalists attempting to tell the truth against the multitudes of media whores that are bought and paid by the White House--they barely make a dent.
When you wake up on the side of righteousness and lawfulness...then you can claim your"mandate".
But for now--with the leadership YOU have chosen--I'm not holding my breath!

2. They've Always Been The Minority

Many of us let them believe they were a "majority" since Democrats were too busy fighting with one another or just couldn't be bothered to engage these asshats. Many thought if you ignored them, they'd blow up from all their hot air, but that didn't quite happen. Instead, they developed an echo chamber that got louder and louder and embolden the bigots, racists and other nuts into thinking they were more important than they were. This played just fine into the designs of the Repugnican party that knew it couldn't be a majority party unless it found a way to rig the system and dumb down, intimidate or just plain defraud enough votes for them to control the levers of power.

It worked. They developed a language all their own and a parallel universe where all the evils in the world were caused by Democrats and "libruls", where they stood for smaller government (the less tax game...these morons actually think this shrunk the size of the government...it didn't) and being "Amurican"...codeword for attention frustrated white males! Add to that a bunch of fear mongering bible thumpers who not only hammered home that Repugnicans were godly, but those who weren't were demonic. It's a warp that pulled plenty in...enough to swing votes in key areas and turn a party that by design represents a minority into the majority.

Now, will the Democrats wake up and see the opportunity here? I'm not so certain since I see so many here willing to pick a fight over their prefered 2008 candidate or boost their special agenda while downplaying someone elses. Diversity is the greatness of today's Democratic majority...and yes, more Americans vote and are represented by Democrats than by Repugnicans...but it's also what holds the party back on the national level as there isn't the strict party discipline the GOOP installed for its own survival.
