Florida: Consider "Celebrate Haiti's Slave Revolt!" License Plates |
|
We know how important history is to Southerners. There are lots of immigrants from the islands in Florida, and I am sure that the slave revolt in Haiti seems like just the other day to immigrants from the island. What better way to let them celebrate their heritage than by offering "Celebrate Haiti's Slave Revolt" License Plates? Let them recall the the burning plantations of 1791. Let them relive the victory over the hated white slave masters. This was the first successful slave uprising in the New World. It made slave owners in the United States tremble in their boots. Such an important historic landmark deserves to be remembered. So what if a few people died? You have to break some eggs to make a historic omelet, right?
Come on Florida, we want our "Celebrate Haiti's Slave Revolt!" license plates.

to never have signed a peace treaty with the U.S. Government. Something like, "Still at war with the U.S. Government. Seminole Nation, Florida."
