What if we boycott the Republicans? |
|
I was late in getting the Delay resignation news (because I'm watching basketball), but once I read it and finished celebrating, I wondered...where is he going to resurface? I'll bet he's already lined up a job, even if he has to wear a prison jump suit for a few years before he he starts drawing the salary.
This is my idea- a la the Bugman's K Street project. If you hire the people we despise, we won't throw any business your way. Not just Delay, but the whole Republican regime that has taken our country down a path we despise. For example, if Tom Delay sat on the board of directors for Orkin, they won't be dealing with the termites in my house. I'll call to tell them so, after I've gotten their free home estimate. If Purina hires Bill Frist as their new spokesman for cat food, let's stop buying Chex Mix. If Playtex Living Bras signs on Katherine Harris...well, God help them.
This might require some research to make sure we knew where people from the Bush/Frist/Delay cabal all landed, but wouldn't you just love to send an email to (insert name of your least favorite corporation here) and say "I can no longer purchase your product because you employ (insert name of most despised politician ).
What do you think?

2. I have been boycotting companies since the days of the ERA--so |
|
believe me, I have NO problem boycotting any company or organization that hires any of these verminous, lying thugs.
I will celebrate a bit when bugboy officially makes a statement--until then, have you seen this: vowed to pursue an aggressive speaking and organizing campaign aimed at promoting foster care, Republican candidates and a *******closer connection between religion and government."*******
has he no f****** CLUE about the separation of church and state? oh, never mind . I had a moment of thinking he might actually have two remaining brain cells that arc.

3. I'd be willing to do a search now and then... |
|
although I'm not the most clever person with the internets.
Anybody want to come up with a hit list to start lopping off Republican tentacles?

4. First find the names of the lobbying firms |
|
many of which parade as consulting firms or PACs. Once that is done, it should be reasonably easy to identify ex congressional pig with firm and firm with clients.
My guess is that he'll be lobbying on behalf of Saudi Arabia, though.

The idea has actually been extended to the commercial market place. http://www.buyblue.org/It makes sense to me. Buy only from companies that support our policies. It makes us stronger.
