Bomb hits Turkey PM's party office

ISTANBUL, Turkey (AP) -- A bomb blast at a branch office of Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan's party in Istanbul has injured at least two people, a party spokesman said.

One of the injured was Recep Alamoglu, the local head of Erdogan's Justice and Development Party's youth section, Osman Bekar said.

The explosion occurred in the party office in Istanbul's low-income Esenyurt district, on the European side of the city, Osman Bekar said.

"A bomb exploded in our building; two of our people are injured," Bekar said. "There is considerable damage."
