4. But they'd rather focus on this salacious subject, rather than the news
from Iraq, or the news from the justice reporters--you know, all those swell investigations; Ken Lay, Scooter Libby, Tom DeLay....!

And child porn/child predators has that breathy Rita Cosby salaciousness attached to it...so even though there is a DHS guy or two attached to the big issue, they'll find a way to dilute that bit of bad news and focus on the "outrage" aspect of it all.

5. two embarassments...
PR officer soliciting sex with a teen and sending illegal materials ...facing 23 charges;

and head of internet child porn fighting division... caught exposing himself to a teen and masturbating for ten minutes in public - so key fighter dude for Chertoff - turns out to get his jollies from teens and acting as a perv. in public.

Real life really is stranger than fiction. Heck if this were in a novel it would be scoffed at as being just too formulaic/trite/unbelievable.

3. K & R - it's about time!! Not only on the internet but why can't we
address the sexual exploitation of our children, period?? I am so sick and so angry every time I hear about one of these monsters harming our children and then practically or totally getting away with it!!

6. This might sound stupid, but

why dont we put age limits on children accessing the internet? It would probably be very difficult to enforce. My other thought is that parents need to take control of the type of internet access their children have. Predators will always be around and lurking... They should all be locked away, but they do not prey only on children. They prey on other adults as well. I figure it would be harder to get porn and predators off of the internet than to have parents restrict their children's access. What do you guys think??

7. How do these kids get paid?
They have a website and how do they get the money? Don't you have to be at least 18 to have a bank or Paypal account or whatever? I wouldn't even know how to do it myself.

8. will they address the real issue?
like the parents role in raising their children with values that they would not find porn fascinating and their duty to monitor their children's habits on the computer? or what about the congress own failure to adopt the .xxx so that porn sites can be easily blocked?
we have known for years how predators operate in everyday life or over the internet and from most accounts have been doing a fairly good job in busting these creeps. for me the real issue is the parents role in all this what they do to teach their children on how to protect themselves and their own responsibility to monitor their children. after all isn`t what we stand for is personal responsibility not the "nanny state"?
the media?
i watched that kid at 4-6-8-10-12 during my breaks the other night giving a repulsive details of his affair. what made my skin crawl is the creepy way cnn exploited the kid and his sickness to profit it`s ratings. yes profiting from child porn-cnn headline news-cnn showbiz tonight, and last but not least nancy"i`m fucking crazy"grace.
the hearings?
i should`t leave out the "big hearing" now that will change alot..they will go through the motions and they`ll get patted on the back by the politicians then they will go back to the real job of painstaking building solid cases to fry these creeps.
