The New York Sun reports that a court filing by Patrick Fitzgerald reveals that President Bush authorized blanket leaks of classified information to reporters. According to the court filing of Libby's testimony to the grand jury, the Vice President Cheney told Libby that President Bush had authorized him to leak classified information from the National Intelligence Estimate. David Shuster who has been following the "Plame case" closely reports on the breaking news for MSNBC. The Raw Story has more information. http://www.rawstory.com/news/2006/Bush_authorized_leak_of_Iraq_intelligence_0406.htmlVIDEO: http://bradblog.com/video/flvplayer/FlvPlayer.html?file=http://www.ameratsu.com/media/vid/msnbc/msnbc_bush_leaks_shuster_060405a_320x240.flv&width=320&height=240&OrigWidth=320&OrigHeight=240

1. He is on fire. Just one small little detail he needs to clear up. |
|
I heard him say he didn't know if is is illegal for Chucklenuts to declassify info. Somewhere here on DU someone posted the law about who has the right to declassify info. If I read it right the person who classified it is the only one who can declassify it. I can't find the thread because I wanted to copy and paste an email to Shuster - he needs the info before he goes on with Tweety and Keith tonight. My search didn't pull it up, anybody got a link?

7. If the MSM keeps on playing that Sept. 30, 2003 clip, Bush is toast. |

3. Bush has to explain why he didn't have a clue who leaked Plame's identity. |

8. I think Libby is on the offensive now - he looks much |
|
more focused and leading the lawyers instead of following them, and serious. Different than when this whole thing first came out and he was on crutches.
