I'm so tired of conditional statements. I wish he would just make a goddamn stand already. I read threads that say "Gore/Kerry in 08" and I feel sick.
Gore had the presidency stolen from him, but Kerry conceded his without a fight. I will never trust Kerry, and he will always seem like a weak, diffident man to me, despite himself.

Bashing ----> the "other site." I'm sure many a freeper is saying exactly what you just said.
PS, he's a lawyer. They always make conditional statements. IE - if the investigations show this to be true, then I support censure. It's called intelligence; try it sometime.

19. Bush is too damn dumb to take responsibility for anything while Kerry,... |
|
,...is bright enough to admit, evaluate and grow from his mistakes.
Kerry's not just intelligent, he's worldly, he's fought one his own two feet, and he's battled the most corrupt of the corrupt (while Bush profits off the corrupt).
Such incredibly different men.

How would you characterize yourself, I wonder, and on what credentials/successes/impact?
:eyes:
I can't characterize you because I don't know anything about you. I feel comfortable in characterizing Kerry because I know a helluva lot about his life, his positions, his battles and his provocatively impactful actions throughout his career, both before and after his noble service as a Senator.

23. That's ABSURD - Feingold NEEDS senators to support MORE vetting |
|
and ask for MOR evidence and MORE hearings because that is how he keeps the issue alive so MORE people in this country can catch up to what is really going on.
It's the GOP strategy to try and force a quick vote on censure and move on away from the ISSUE of NSA spying - that's exactly what Feingold did NOT want.

14. First step to impeachment after today's revelations? |
|
I do believe all of our Democrats should support Censure. Then when we kick the Republicans out of their seats in November I think they should pounce on IMPEACHMENT! Supporting Censure would keep them from being called flip-floppers when the campaign $hit slinging begins.

Americans' freedoms must be secured, along with their safety. Illegally undermining the constitutional security of our freedoms is not only intolerable but also destroys the authenticity of pursuing our safety.
The Democrats really should unite on this issue. It's not only the "right" thing to do, it's a matter of taking a stern stand on accountability by our leadership.

Transparency and accountability in government.
In my small life, I work on the accountability part,...it's the only thing that keeps me going in a job that fails to challenge me,....the concept of accountability and being a part of that.
Transparency is an essential partner to accountability, though. Without the facet of transparency, accountability is impossible.
:hi:
I hope, in my lifetime, I witness a REAL, SUBSTANTIVE turn towards democracy in this country. Today, I am far more hopeful than before.
