2. please give details! I got rid of HBO when Curb went off
I can't WAIT to see how badly Sammon does.

he's a real grade A moran....nothing but a font of antiquated RW talking points....as close to self-parody as one can possibly get

this could be GOOD, even with Biden

I just hope Maher isn't a total dick to McKinney

I will never forgive him if he just follows the M$M herd

7. He just said that she said this was a racial issue and she said "No,
that's not what I said. I said this country has a problem with race." She went on to explain the problems. Bill dropped it.

I just tuned in and that's all I've heard so far.

Because if Bush declassified info in '03 (as the argument is being made), why didn't he admit then that the info had been declassified?

Why did he have to say........well, I want to know who the leaker is and he will be dealt with, yada, yada, yada.

At the very least, it is very deceptive!

He said Bush thinks he has good instincts but then he (Bush) prays that his instincts are right!

We all know that Bush's instincts are not that good.

My question is............if Bush is going to pray, why doesn't he pray BEFORE he makes a major decision?

about the iraq invasion: bush was praying when he should have been learning about iraq, because now it's proved they didn't know a) what they were doing, or b) anything about iraq.

86. Biden’s vote for the Bankruptcy bill is NOT forgivable.
His only constituents that stand to benefit are the corporate CC campaign donors within his state. The punitive rate hikes and increased hurdles for healthcare disasters don’t determine the total CC headcount in or out of Delaware. They were already doing really well before the legislation. It’s about increased profit margins for corporate loan sharks.

As a Senator, he should be aware of how legislation he supports affects both his real constituents as well as the people across the land. I think this lack of judgment and the corrupting lobbyist influence disqualifies him as a viable Presidential candidate.

He does nothing for me.

46. I still think Biden is a blow hard.
His "respect people of faith" stump speech is baloney. It might be true for some POF, but he's pandering to the POF that do want to legislate their theocratic agenda into our government.

Plus, he will always be tainted by his support for the bankruptcy bill. Follow that money to the CC industry that resides in his state.

Someone who understood what was going at the time.....not after-th-fact.

And most of Biden's ideas on Iraq are really Clark's without the credit.

Wesley Clark Called for an Independent Probe of the Bush Administration's Use of Intelligence Before the Iraq War, Calling it "Twisted" and Possibly Criminal

Democratic presidential candidate Wesley Clark called on Friday for an independent probe of the Bush administration's use of intelligence before the Iraq war, calling it "twisted" and possibly criminal.

The retired four-star Army general and NATO commander who entered the 2004 White House race two weeks ago amid a flood of publicity and instantly rose among the leaders in some polls, said the American public needed to know if it was "intentionally deceived."

In his harshest indictment yet of President Bush, Clark said the administration's "irresponsible" Iraq policy had put Americans in danger and the United States in crisis mode at home and abroad.

snip
"Nothing could be a more serious violation of public trust than to consciously make a war based on false claims," he told a conference of military reporters and editors. "Its handling of intelligence and its retaliation against its critics may have been criminal."

"INTELLIGENCE GAP"

"We need to know if we face an intelligence gap ... because the system has been twisted to suit the prejudices of the policy makers," Clark said.

61. not a journalist: the washington times (doesn't count)
"Bill Sammon is the White House correspondent for the Washington Times. While at the Plain Dealer in Cleveland, Bill spent two years uncovering widespread corruption at the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections, prompting investigations into voter fraud that resulted in the ouster of top election officials from both political parties. Bill was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize for his investigative reporting for the Washington Times on illegal fundraising by the Teamsters and the Democratic Party. Bill spent much of the last two years covering the closest presidential race in history and was one of the first reporters to arrive in Tallahassee for the post-election standoff, never leaving until it was over."

nominated? we all know what that means: a moonie nominated him.

69. Best episode in ages!
Affleck was smart and funny. Biden impressed me quite a bit. Best of all, that Republican douche got little airtime.

71. yes it was!
Speaking of Affleck..........last yr I heard he was thinking of running for Congress. I don't think he ever did but he clearly has an interest in politics.

Yeah, I was glad the right wing idiot didn't get much airtime too!

Biden was very good too! I heard last year that he is running for President in '08.........I find some comfort from hearing a politician saying the same thing over time. Bush changes his story every time the wind changes!

74. I thought it was the best show since the first one of this season
back in the middle of February. The panels haven't been great, but Affleck and Biden were really good.

77. It was SO much better than last week.
I didn't have a problem with the wing nut's airtime. He hung himself out to dry every time he opened his RW spinning mouth.

I continue to be impressed by Affleck's intellect even if I'm not so impressed by his movies.

Biden is still a blow hard. It takes someone like Maher or Affleck to pin him down and make him say it again without the spin and cliches and doublespeak. There is no way he is going to be POTUS unless the CC industry funds it.

84. another good point made by Maher.........
.........when Biden was explaining something and it took him awhile to get to his point. Bill said that sometimes there aren't easy answers to these kinds of questions.

I was glad he said that! Not everything can be reduced to a 3 word sound byte!

80. Good show, lots of laughs
Biden and Affleck surprised me with their blunt and informative comments, good banter. McKinney was also intertaining. It looked like Maher was enjoying how she handled the show, he was setting her up to do exactly what she did, worked out great.
