Republicans' premature miscalculation on immigration policy... |
|
Edited on Sat Apr-08-06 08:04 AM by kentuck
"Republicans bit off more than they could chew", said a caller to C-SPAN this morning.
But they were blinded by their fear of the November elections. They were told by their right-wing base that illegal immigration was the issue that would defeat them. So they tackled the issue...before they had their ducks in order. Now, it is they that are saddled with a defeat. Their only hope is to blame their failure on the Democrats. They have been successful at that in the past.

2. Of course they are going to blame it on the dems... |
|
They are incapable of being wrong. They blame Bill Clinton and democrats for every single mistake they make. What will matter is whether it will stick. It will depend on how well the dems defend themselves and how the media spins it.
