most everyone here are dumb liberals missing the point. Bush 41 made Clinton’s terms successful. Without Bush Clinton would have been nothing. The next left wing D-Bag that gets in office is going to be successful because everything W set-up.

:nuke: <----------------CatWoman's head exploding

So, if I apply "logic" here, the only reason for Bush 41 and 43 "presidencies" were to make Democrats look good?

:nuke: <------------------ ow, I did it again. This time to myself.

Great logic, I'm onboard. And newt gingrich was instrumental in making Clinton's approval ratings sky rocket. And cheney makes bush seem almost human. Hey I can be an idiot too.

10. They beat this drum all the time
Clinton's successes were the result of Bush41's policies, and Bush43's failures are the result of Clinton's policies. Yadda yadda yadda.

It's that same bullshit argument about "economic trends are cyclical and take a decade to yield fruit." A very convenient way of crediting one's Republican idols while demonizing the Dems.

By the way, here's the first lesson from The Handbook Republican Thinking:
The President isn't responsible for the state of the economy unless he's a Republican and the economy is strong or he's a Democrat and the economy is weak.

20. Yep. They claimed that the economy was good under Clinton
because Reagan's economic policies were finally bearing fruit, as in, it finally "trickled down". I think that's about the same time they claimed that the low unemployment rates were not good for the economy. I don't remember all the reasoning they gave, but it seems that we need a certain percentage of people who don't have jobs to keep the economy strong.

18. Well put...
You can't fix stupid... especially when it's stubbornly, irrevocably, hopelessly stupid--which is what those people do best (so why would they even want to quit being stupid?).

12. Here's another genius
Global warming will improve the Earth, lengthening the growing season in some key areas, providing more usable water, making some climates more tolerable.

It's bad enough you can't fix stupid, but this idiot insists on taking everyone with him.

15. Clearly...
There were a bunch of ignorant, hateful Rethugs on that page. It's not even worth the effort to talk to such people; they're a total loss. It's distressing that people--who apparently can write whole words and are old enough to reach the keyboard can be so pig-headed, misguided and unforgivably, ridiculously wrong. Of course, most are also infused with such offensive remarks and personal attacks they deserve to be banned from whatever forum they're participating in--too much trouble; again not worth a response.

You know, though... It's gotta hurt going through life being that stupid and close-minded. Yet, they are masters at making statements that are so profoundly absurd that to address all the errors involved in even a short sentence would practically require a whole book--with references!

17. Oh come on, you've never heard the Republican economic time-line before?
Goes something like this.

The US rather suddenly goes from making steel and cars to NOT making steel and cars--it is all Jimmy Carter's fault

Reagan comes into office and through his ingenious economic plan, his lifting of the American spirit, and his sheer will the economy perks up.

The massive debt and inevitable recession (early 90's) is the result of Carter's administration. Reagan and Bush did everything that they could to prevent it.

The boom of the 90's was all due to Ronnie.

Anything negative on W's watch has all been Clinton's fault (that includes 9/11).

23. Carter made Reagan the success they think Reagan was!
They are funny ~

If you really want to make their heads explode instead of your own, tell them that

1)Clinton disarmed Saddam Hussein.

2)Clinton's approval ratings when he left office were higher than Reagan's.

3)It was Clinton's military that won the war in the Balkans and the first phase of this disaster.

4) It was Bush 41 who let in the wanted terrorists who attacked the WTC in 1993, but Clinton, being a REAL MACHO MAN, although he rightfully could have, never blamed him!

And the one that really makes them explode:

5) If Clinton had had four more years, there would have been peace in the ME.

I never contradict their idiocy, I just keep telling them how great Clinton was, drives them insane. I gave up giving them details also, I just keep repeating it and asking them to 'prove to me that Clinton did not disarm Saddam Hussein'!

Brilliant responses usually range from: 'You're a stupid, idiotic, lying lieberal traitor!' (those are the nice ones) to 'it's too bad you and your treasonous ilk weren't in the WTC on 9/11'!

I left out the freeper spelling ~

Drives them crazy. The hatred they have for Clinton makes it easy. The same way the hatred the Bush regime engendered in them against all Arabs, made them crazy over the Port deal.

I spent about three years on a rightwing board and they taught me that reason and logic and facts cannot be used when dealing with them!
