Hmm Rolling Blackouts in TX with record heat, high gas prices...
I wonder if any of these Texans who laughed about California's situation while they were getting raped by Enron are having any sense of karmic payback now.

2. Ken Lay went out and visited Arnie before he became Gov
Wonder what their conversations were. The MSM never picked up on it. They were too much into W is our warrior in chief and so is everyone who knows him.

8. That's right, they had the secret hotel meeting
And then after Arnie got in, CA settled its suit against Enron for pennies on the dollar.

3. Being in California, I have to admit I smiled when I read about the
rolling blackouts in Texas. How do ya like it, Texas?

4. Hey unfortunately I live here now so I've gotten it in both states. I
just wonder if some of the folks here, who as a group strongly support shrub, even now (northern Dallas suburbs), are getting any clue yet that "they been HAD!"

6. It was more a brownout, I had it here

Not a big deal, here the lights just whent dimmer for a instant, then again a couple of more times. It's a controlled regulation on the system. They start with different neighborhoods next time they have to do it I doubt I will have any effect. The TV and computer might reset but it's hardly an inconvenience. I didn't even have to reset clocks. The "worst" of them were for like 12 minutes. Cold front comes in tonight so ERCOT goes back to normal spring operations.

11. Then it was caused by a problem on her end

4:13 p.m. Monday: the Electric Reliability Council of Texas, operator of the state's power grid, orders electricity suppliers in Dallas, Houston and Austin to cut power to portions of their systems to reduce an unexpected demand for electricity.

4:25 p.m.: TXU Electric Delivery begins rolling 15-minute blackouts.

6:10 p.m.: Blackouts end.

supporters who laffed it up while big energy companies raped CA and thought it was funny. Sheesh.

I certainly don't wish blackouts on anyone, least of all myself.

Well, maybe energy barons.

15. Which makes you what?

You have no idea what it is like being a Texan on this board. If someone quotes some nut case that claims it was gods will that New Orleans was struck by a hurricane because of gays. You see twenty threads giving supporting and comfort, and rightfully so. Yet these some member gleefully cheered on Rita, wild fires and other disasters because they happen to Texans.

17. Please remember
Texas progressives often get hit for somehow inventing Shrub and half of the ills in the White House. It gets old when you see Texas compared in this manner against other states. I've voted against Shrub 4 times and 5 if you count his stupid ballpark in Arlington and spent a good deal of money and time helping Dems here in Texas.

Would have been nice if you had possibly been a bit more expansive in who you were talking about.

18. Uh-yep. About as old as Southern bashing in general
and Christian bashing - both of which are readily whipped on this board.

So all the idiots who were bitching about their red lights being out and thinking "my God, we are just going to die waiting here," can relax.
