Feingold Debuted “W” Video Last Evening in Tx.-WATCH VIDEO!!!
Edited on Wed Apr-19-06 01:19 PM by dogday
Innovative Ad Takes a Unique Look at the President’s Illegal Domestic Spying Program and Feingold’s Censure Resolution

Milwaukee, WI – U.S. Senator Russ Feingold debuted an innovative ad from the Progressive Patriots Fund last evening in Texas called “W.” This video takes a unique yet serious look at the President’s illegal domestic spying program and Feingold’s resolution to censure the President for these illegal actions. The Progressive Patriots ad is available here: www.progressivepatriotsfund.com/W

“The President has broken the law by authorizing an illegal domestic surveillance program that wiretaps Americans, on American soil, without a warrant as required by law - He must be held accountable,” Feingold said. “Censuring the President is an appropriate step in the process of accountability. The “W” ad puts this issue in a unique perspective and I hope people around the country will take a look and forward the link to their friends. The President must stop playing fast and loose with our constitution. It’s time for him to return to the law.”

Feingold was in Texas to campaign for John Courage, the Democratic congressional candidate for the 21st district in Texas. Courage was also the winner of the Progressive Patriots Fund’s first “Pick a Progressive Patriot” event held last year.

The “W” ad was created by the Milwaukee agency Eichenbaum/Associates. Feingold has used Steve Eichenbaum’s agency for all of his television ads since he first ran for the U.S. Senate in 1992. “W” was directed by Milwaukee native Peter Bonerz. Mr. Bonerz has a distinguished career in both acting and directing. He played Dr. Jerry Robinson on “The Bob Newhart Show” and directed such television shows as “Murphy Brown” and “Friends.” A full list of his acting and directing credentials can be found here: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0094288/ “W” was produced by the Milwaukee based firm Purple Onion.

9. It was a great rally here in Austin too BTW.
A roomful of excited Democrats so hungry for leaders, so hungry for real Progressive change.

Russ Feingold is a class act. John Courage would be such a great replacement for Bushco/Delay rubber-stamp, chicken-hawk Lamar Smith.

Show em some Love!

18. packed room, like a tent revival with...
...Mexican food and drinks. They were planning for 400, I'd say that was close.
Lots of Local Pols and activists present.
Opening remarks by Jim Hightower
Speech by Feingold, 2 standing ovations.
Premiered the "W" ad to cheers.
Speech by John Courage.
Courage has the ultimate tag line:
"George Bush needs a brain, Cheney needs a heart, and Congress needs Courage!"
Then more music and such.
Austin Democrats know how to have a Political "party".

11. Russ does GREAT commercials
His campaign ads are usually the funniest ones on local television.

I'm still looking for a copy of the one where Bigfoot went lumbering across the screen behind him. I think it was one of his earlier ones (before the infamous "Elvis" commercial).

20. Watch the video and then visit
www.russforpresident.com and encourage Feingold to run in 2008. Russ For President has a 50 State blog campaign, so stop and see if there is a blog in your state!

I liked it. I wonder, is this the same guy that does Russ's commercials? His campaign commercials are amazing.
