Ok that ain't it. When a union shop produces a product, it can (but doesn't have to) tag on the product. Since most campaign materials are printed, a BUG with the shop number is located. Dems usually use a union shop and place the bug in vision. I can think of a former Nebraska Senator and Senator that was taken to court when a non union shop used a union trademark on printed materials. Bob Kerrey. I was a member of the GAU at the time. A printers union.

4. My pop was printers union.
I still have his dues book.

I just never heard the union logo referred to as a bug. Wonder if we call it something different in NY.
