Stir It Up site a good resource for student activists

In the tradition of Students’ against Sweatshops, Unite Here, in conjunction with SEIU and Service Workers United, has launched Stir it Up, an online resource for student activists who are taking on campus administrators and subcontractors to improve working conditions for low wage campus workers.

The website’s Data and Resources page provides students with a growing database of food service contracts and models of responsible contracting. The site offers students campaign tools needed to win fair wages, contractor codes of conduct that benefit campus workers, and neutrality agreements that allow workers the freedom to form unions.
