The Los Angeles–based AIDS Healthcare Foundation is filing complaints against nine adult-film actors' agencies for allowing actors to have unprotected sex on camera.

The complaints were filed with the California labor commissioner Thursday against licensed talent agencies that represent porn actors. Each filing included data from the agency's websites that "graphically describe — often in checklist format — unprotected sexual acts that the clients they represent will perform in films," according to the foundation.

Michael Weinstein, president of AIDS Healthcare Foundation, called the agencies' actions reckless and life-threatening.

"Many of these agents are callous enough to describe the unprotected sexual acts their clients will engage in on a checklist on their websites as cavalierly as if one was ordering off a menu in a restaurant," he said in a statement.

The nine agencies, each representing between 30 and 140 performers and models who perform in gay and straight films, are A List Media, ATMLA, Gold Star Modeling, LA Direct Models, Lisa Ann’s Talent Management, Metro Talent Management, Spiegler Girls, Type 9 Models Inc., and World Modeling.

“If there were a construction employment agency, they couldn't say John Doe is available to dangle 100 feet over the ground without a harness,” Weinstein said in a telephone conference call to reporters Thursday. “That would be shut down instantaneously.”

I don't see what AIDS Healthcare Foundation's complaint is. Maybe they just don't like porn? That seems to be Weinstein's main argument. If its just that they don't like porn, then they can just shut the fuck up.
