1.2 Million Jobless U.S. Workers Have Dropped Out Of Job Market

How many workers have become discouraged and given up hope? According to a new report in USA Today that number is 1.2 million. 1.2 million unemployed workers have become so distraught in the inability to find a new job they’ve removed themselves from the workforce all together. According to employment data there are only enough jobs available for one out of every five unemployed workers.

Hidden unemployment: 15.7 million

Total: 30.3 million (18.9% of the labor force)
