Update on Presidential Endorsement

Folks are saying that Edwards stole the show. The proof will be in the vote I guess. I will let you know as soon I know. If the International takes no position, then each local can recommend whoever they want. That may be the wild card in this endorsement process.

I don’t know.

Last year, everyone thought Edwards had it in the bag, but a lot has happened since then. That said, Edwards came in with the advantage, butEdwards had to hit a home-run to get it the endorsement and everyone is saying he did.

We shall see.

Oh, I forgot to tell you that Governor Richardson, from New Mexico, came. It is significant because he is fairly pro-labor but a Republican. It’s proof that SEIU is no longer just partisan driven… However, Richardson made a funny mistake. As he was leaving, he said, thank you AFSME. Well, we are SEIU and well, they are considered a rival union, if you believe in that there is such a thing. I don’t. Nonetheless, he goofed. Whoops.

3. I can agree with Richardson
I prefer AFSCME to SEIU too. And no, I am not AFSCME, I am IBEW.
