1. Sounds like a loose cannon got kicked from campaign Obama |
|
Probably should have been done earlier.

Looks like others are missing the point. Axelrod (love him or hate him) runs a really, really tight ship. He has zero tolerance for rogues. He would swiftly remove any staffer who causes the campaign to go off script.
As for the Ohio comment - I have no idea what she meant. Was she dissing Ohioans?

2. She sure is getting her 15 minutes today |
|
I hope she enjoys it, because I doubt she'll be getting the inside scoop from anyone ever again after this circus.

3. what this so-called shill of a reporter has done will have a chilling effect on those |
|
who consent to being interviewed
remarks are made off the record all the time and should not be printed if the interviewee says the remarks are off the record

8. This will definitely intimidate Obama spokesmen who plan on calling people 'monsters.' |
|
But decent human beings (are there any on the BO campaign?) don't talk that way, so they have nothing to worry about.

9. Hey, this reporter did nothing wrong |
|
She is correct about the importance of establishing remarks as 'off the record' in advance, and mutually agreeing to them. An interview subject cannot retroactively declare something 'off the record.' It does not work like that.
FWIW, on the record, I agree with Samantha's assessment of Hillary, and Samantha Power is one of my heroes. She's a huge loss to the Obama campaign, and I like Obama quite a lot. But the reporter is correct in everything she said.

11. This is bad for the Obama camp.... |
|
and the "Monster" comment is the least offensive part of it.
The insinuation that Ohioans are poor and stupid and will believe anything the "Monster" tells them is really at the core of why Obama lost Ohio to begin with. That elitism was picked up by many folks out here. And I am afraid it may pervade the Obama camp. It explains why folks making under 50,000 don't vote for him.

14. I worked with the Obama people on the ground in Ohio. |
|
Didn't see any of the attitude you express. Just hard working young people doing a job. I think the fact that she was let go from the campaign says it all. Obama, unlike * or Hillary will clean the deck if it needs cleaned. This is exactly what we need in the WH. Peace, Kim Hussein

12. Fuck Hillaryworlders trying to come at this from the moral high ground. |
|
You have no standing to do so.
Hillary IS a monster. Voting against banning cluster bombs after voting to use force on a sovereign nation is pretty fucking monstrous.
Stomping through the garden like a spoiled child trying to stamp out the sprouting budlettes of hope and change if she can't get what she wants is pretty fucking monstrous.
Trying to swiftboat a democratic candidate while pumping up the republican candidate so she can try to get another shot in four years is pretty fucking monstrous.
Don't even fucking try to take some moral high ground stating that your candidate is or deserves any better. You just don't like that someone said it outloud.

13. Good on Gerri Peev.. maybe she will inspire our Big Media into telling the Truth |
|
once and a while!
Meanwhile, Obama will speak on his boilerplate stump speech, inspiration and hope, and hide from hard questions..
