1. McCain officially has no chance against Hillary or Obama
A considerable chunk of the Southern population would never support a president who supports gay rights. By trying to catch up with Giuliani in the social issues department, McCain has dug his own grave. Many conservatives will abstain from voting for him and Giuliani, who also supports civil unions.

This is good news for Hillary, and perhaps Obama, although his color in my opinion is sadly an obstacle to win the racist South.

6. Well, ticker says he's up from 41% approval rating on the economy.
Could be as late as October this year, or more than a year ago.

5. McCain spoke at Falwell University (Liberty)
Falwell thinks the the teletubbies were gay.

McCain is a huge disappointment to those of us who once thought he could represent independent thought.

7. This just in: Sam Brownback wins the Republican nomination.
The heavy GOP base, unless they swing moderate for the sake of trends (and even then unlikely), will never stand for someone who tolerates gays.
