|
And by the way, if you have to ask at this point in time, you haven't been paying attention. But there has been a thread on DU on this very 'Political Videos' forum this past week about the contributions Obama has received from the big oil companies. You could check that out. You might also want to look into something called the CitiGroup.
It's called Google. Have a lot of fun!

|
Edited on Sun Apr-20-08 09:00 PM by Yael
You see, there is a difference between PAC and Lobbyist donations and donations from PEOPLE who happen to work in the oil/insurance/etc... INDUSTRIES.
When we donate, we have to list our employer and industry and it is classified.
PACs and Lobbyists are both registered -- because of FEC laws.
Obama has not taken any money from PACs or lobbyists. Hillary has and defends that practice.
The burden of proof is on you to show where this is a false statement, and here's a heads up -- if you CAN prove it, you will be able to prove him in violation of the law which is punishable by fines and in cases, imprisonment.
Back to you, DL.
I will be right here waiting.

Except when the receivers are named Bush or Clinton, eh? :eyes: Then you would scream they were bought and paid for by the oil industry.

Bulls-eye! Right on the dot, the english language mixed with intelligence is such a beautiful thing. People DO need to do their research before opening their mouths, some just love to take a youtube video out of context or immediately mark it as proof without looking at the real facts behind it.... ...some that might have done too many drugs that may have "Fear and Loathing" obsessions....maybe...lol

Someone asks you to provide support for your claim and you expect them to do the research? When you bring up a point, it's up to you to show the evidence, not demand someone do YOUR homework for you.

"YOU FAIL."
That's like soooo last year.
If you had actually READ my reply, you would've noticed I gave enough examples. What I'm dealing with here are six people who are blindly following the Great Leader.
And it's ironic; I actually PREFER Obama over Clinton. But I will not go along in your deluded imaginary worldview in which Obama hasn't taken corporate money. The only candidates who fulfilled THAT promise are either out of the race (Kucinich) or don't have a chance of winning (Gravel).

Funny how nobody even replies to my examples of Obama taking corporate money. Nobody replied to the donations he takes from oil executives (has been a thread about this on DU last week, use 'search'), from CitiGroup (use Google) etc.
All you Obamabots do is calling names. God, you're childish.

26. Actually, it's always been my understanding |
|
that the responsibility to prove something falls to the one making the assertion. I've never known the game to go: I make assertion sans evidence and demand anyone disagreeing to provide the evidence that substantiates my point. Nor does the game go: I make evidence free assertions and demand those who disagree to DISprove it.
Well, maybe in 4th grade but not since I graduated into the world of adult discussion anyway.
