  How about the system that tells you that the chief of police in the town you're controlling is favorable to the enemy because his brother was killed by your forces in the last incursion a few years ago?

  How is satellite intel going to show me that the fifth parked car on the busy street has three howitzer shells inside it, taped together with a cell-phone detonator?

  Do the infra-red systems see that the contractor providing food for my men is cutting corners and bad water, not the heat, is the reason why 15% of them are in their rack, sick, today?

And where is the technology that shows me that everyone in this town, even the kids, hates our guts?

At the end, when the sniper was picked off, I kept thinking (other than "blow the bridge, idiot", and "shoot and scoot") about what the late Bill Hicks used to say...

"You know all that money we spend on the military ever year - trillions of dollars? Instead, if we use this money to feed and clothe the poor of this world, which it would do many times over, then we can explore space, inner and outer, together, as one race."

and something along the lines of if we can send a missile through an open window, we can shoot a banana into a hungry persons mouth...
