That speech gives me chills. For all of Kerry's shortcomings and the sometimes valid criticisms leveled against him, he makes one hell of a speaker when he gets angry.

Why didn't he make this same speech after the swiftboaters?

Also notice how fox distorts his speech with the tagline "Kerry apologizes to no one for criticism" when what he said was that he apologizes to no one for the criticism of the president and republicans. Ironic that in a speech about distortion, Fox proves the point unintentionally.

11. I think what's really important about that speech is that it stops

the neocon propaganda machine from creating a false reality for the media to blast out at a billion decibels.

I feel sure John Kerry realises very well that there aren't that many people so thick that they would be taken in by a bunch of decidedly unconscientious objectors trying to vilify a Vietnam veteran honoured for his bravery and leadership.

But with such high-profile denunciations of their lies concerning public opinion as John Kerry has just delivered, he guts the billion-decibel crowing of the false reality they seek to peddle concerning what Americans believe and want, which would otherwise further embolden them in their vast panorama of ineptitude; the sound of their own voice has that effect on them, kind of like whistling in the dark.

But with robust dersive rebuttals, they are put on the back foot, while their false reality becomes a very muted shadow of its old vainglorious self. They're LOSERS.
