4. Was she running for president?
Was she attending one of the major annual events of the Nation formerly known as the the most powerful in the world?

Thanks for lumping McCain in with the "old folk" though. No need to put another Reagan in the WH.

Tired, old McCain. Literally and figuratively.

It works for me.

8. Is the guy sitting in front of McCain snoozing, too?
Maybe they're looking down at their Sudoku puzzles instead of listening to blivet. That's what I'd be tempted to do.

10. Looks like he's using his Blackberry or Treo.
I saw other people doing that - maybe Ted Kennedy, too.

13. You may be right
At the very least, it's not definitive enough he's not doing that and sleeping instead to end his Presidential aspirations, IMO. (More's the pity.)

I think someone napping wouldn't be moving quite so much.

12. When Bush left the podium and started up the aisle, a woman in
the front row turned away and wouldn't shake his hand.

Does anybody know who that was?

16. Well, it certainly wasn't our new Repug Rep Right-Wing Fundie Michelle Bachmann.
She must have camped out early to get her aisle-side seat and fell on Bush both when he entered and left the chambers. With a grin a mile wide for all the cameras to see. Yuk!

20. I love that picture!
Everytime I see it, I think--please, please let McCain be the nominee. He would be toast in a general election.

17. Isn't Ted Kennedy
Also a consummate napper? Between Kennedy and McCain, it's hard to tell which one still has a pulse sometimes.

19. You might want to check out Ted's speech
on minimum wage. He's doing fine.

McSaint on the other hand, is losing it.

18. Could be.....
...that he and the guy in front him were following the speech looking down at their advance copies. I would like to see a longer clip and maybe catch him/them with a few head jerks.
