2. I just love how vocal Letterman has become
Guess that's what old age, a major health scare, and becoming a father will do to ya.

13. Its actually amazing!
Usually 'major network' talking heads are not allowed to speak like this...I think Letterman has placed love of country over potential blow back from the radical right. Its fantastic!

14. The network has more to lose than Dave does
I am pretty sure that he is set for life anyway. Even if CBS had the balls to fire him for something he said it wouldn't matter in the long run; he'd have the last laugh...he always does.

5. "well, you told me backstage you thought he was a goon"
Hmmm... have to wonder if Dave was kidding there.

9. I thought that was a rather brave remark
Don't forget, Monteil recently got removed from a group of TV stations for much milder comments.

11. FOX TV stations, right?
And Montel isn't the national celeb that Dave is.

Interesting tidbit from Wikipedia...
On January 30, 2008, Variety reported that CBS TV Distribution terminated The Montel Williams Show when key Fox-owned stations chose not to renew it for the 2008-2009 season This followed an appearance on the show Fox & Friends in which he criticized the media's lack of coverage on the Iraq War, and took the hosts to task for their (and the media in general) excessive coverage of the death of actor Heath Ledger, contrasted with the sparse coverage of the US Soldiers dying in Iraq.

On May 16, 2008 the last episode of the Montel Williams show aired.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Montel_Williams
It's 2008 and we still have TV shows being kept in line relative to the war.

7. Scott
I've often thought that Scott actually DOES have affection for Bush (How? I don't know. Like a pet maybe....my pet goat.) But Scottie doesn't like Cheney, or Condie, or Rummy, or even Rove. I wonder how they treated him. He's mad at the ones who lied to him. He sees them manipulating his pal, Lennie.... er I mean Georgie. It's time to tell all....

(God, what a sorry lot this administration is!)

8. Tell it like it IS, Dave!
I love letterman. He doesn't play the fence for ratings.

15. Letterman has been poking away at the Bushies all along...Scotty
has "affection" as in deference to someone who owned him. He was a tool who now sees some profit, as a few others from the Bush admin have, in coming out with a tell all book.
