Obama responds to the McCain camp's charge of being in a "Sept 10th mindset" by saying:

The Republicans have no "standing to suggest that they've learned a lot of lessons from 9/11,"

They "helped to engineer the distraction of the war in Iraq at a time when we could have pinned down the people who actually committed 9-11."

"Osama bin Laden is still at large in part because of their failed strategies."

The charge had been made by a McCain Aide who said, "Senator Obama is a perfect manifestation of a September 10th mind-set. ... He does not understand the nature of the enemies we face."

1. I love how Obama starts: "Let's think about this."
That is what he has, from the start, been trying make Americans do. Keep pushing that message Senator Obama. I do believe it is working.:kick:

2. I love that approach
He doesn't pander. He urges people to consider the facts. It's real straight talking, as opposed to McCain's parody of that.

4. I don't hear a black man...
when I hear Obama speak but a sensible and engaged human being. I hope and am working for him to get to the White House and help heal this country. This was so naturally done; so clearly stated that it puts Bill Clinton to shame.;-)

5. The repugs should be crucified with their own arguments.
Both before and after 911 they displayed nothing but criminal negligence and appalling incompetence.

7. Obama should say....
...."I most certainly do not have a 9/10 mind-set. If I get a DPB entitled "Bin Laden Determined to Attack inside US", I'm GONNA DO SOMETHING!"
