2. I have several observations: |

How does a person with a 2.1 average become an army journalist? How did this articulate person get a 2.1 average? I almost wish he had just kept silent to keep him safe, but I truly do admire his bravery putting himself right out there. With his description of him watching television at Ft. Meade, I wonder if he was actually aware, at the time, of the war not being sanctioned by the international community. I will take him at his word, but too many journalist ignored that. And I thought he did a good job talking about his reporting on the Romanian, for good news, at the expense of all the others on that ward.

does not mean that you can't write or be good at something. It just means in most cases that you are bored out of your mind.

5. Stars & Stripes is full of hearts/flowers stories as the one the SGT wrote |
|
I recall reading a story like his, if it wasn't his, but they are constant. That's because the Stars & Stripes is oversighted by the DoD, and the person doing the oversight is Allison Barber, the person who orchestrated the staged teleconference between Bush and the ten cherry-picked troops two or three years ago.
Allison Barber is now part of Bush's America Supports You campaign to promote propaganda stories similar to the story the SGT wrote. To finance ASY Bush had been siphoning at least half a million dollars (we know it's a lot more, but the Stripes Chief refuses to say how much despite demands for accountability by other Stripes editors/reporters) through Stars & Stripes, whose Chief in turn wrote checks to the Susan Davis International PR group to promote the war in Iraq, for the troops, their families, and Americans at home. It's pure propaganda financed with tax dollars and channeled, in one way or another, to groups like Susan Davis International. Susan Davis has always been a huge supporter of Bush, so this is his way of repaying her....with our money, and in turn, she continues to support Bush's financial schemes by promoting the war.
It's quite a cycle of pay-back.
