I was thinking about the contrast of this type of approach, an in depth interview, and how the networks don't have someone like Zakaria who can discuss issues at this level. The networks have embraced the tabloid approach of interruption gotcha interviews so we aren't allowed to know, by that method, what candidates know about the world and what they want to do as president.
It even took me a few minutes to realize that Zakaria wasn't going to jump in every few seconds to show off.
Thanks for posting this today. I missed it earlier on CNN.

5. Can you imagine bush speaking this intelligently, |
|
or mccain for that matter? And I don't blame mccain's age for his lack of coherence, I have know people older than he is that are very clear in their thinking process.

8. I have been disturbed by Sen. Obama's position on: |
|
Not impeaching Bush and Cheney, and for voting Aye on the new Fisa Law. The Fourth Amendment somehow has had a part of itself chopped away. After this interview, I think that Sen. Obama will make a much better Pres. than Sen. McCain. I am not happy with the Democratic Party. More than half of the time they vote like Fascists. More than half of the time they vote with the Republicans. I know that there is compromise, but one cannot compromise the Oath to Protect and Preserve the Constitution of the United States of America!

the impression Obama gives off through his interviews. He comes off as such a calm, intelligent, compassionate individual who actually acknowledges the fact that America isn't the only country in the world.
