3. Well McCain just showed what he thinks of women in general

Paris Hilton, Brittany Spears, whatever personal opinion I have of their antics is nothing like my personal opinion of McCain's person.

The fact that some people, including here, feel SO MUCH better about themselves because they can bash a celebrity for being, well, a celebrity shows a very elitist view of humanity. McCain did it because he wanted to claim that he is superior somehow to a couple of debs.

Well, I for one can probably beat up 30 five year olds AT THE SAME TIME. Doesn't that make me all manly and shit.

And about the ills of society that those two women represent: they don't. They're not rapists, tax evaders, dog fighters, wife beaters, or even particularly uncaring or callous humans, in fact, Paris Hilton has the luxury of growing up ahead of her, and Brittany will inevitably come to her senses just like any other out of touch young adult might slip and spin for a couple of years, and yet WE HERE ON DU WE STILL LOVE TO HATE THEM because it makes us feel good about ourselves.
