New Yorkers reaction to the events of Nov. 1963 ... one young man felt Rudy was wrong to shoot Oswald, and that Oswald should have been allowed to stand trial and promptly killed by a mob afterwards.

1. Wow, look at New York, looks so empty.
:(

My grandma remembers when Oswald was shot. She was vacuuming the front room, watching the coverage when it happened.

Yikes.

2. I also saw it live
I was 10 years old sitting in the living room with my parents. The assassination coverage was the only thing on our 3 channels of black and white Tv for 4 days.

3. "Oswald fingerprints found on the rifle" . . . not true ---
First, the FBI confirmed that there were no fingerprints found on the rifle --

and there were no fingerprints until AFTER Oswald was killed ---

and after an FBI visit to the funeral parlor with fingerprinting equipment ....

I'm a native New Yorker --- lived there at the time ---

it immediately made everyone very nervous. I thought I knew the people I worked

with -- but I wanted to cry and no one else was.

I was frightened that we would end up where we are now ---

Things in the city began to change immediately ---

4. Ruby killed Oswald on Sunday morning and they were replaying that scene....
when I tuned in ---

my shock in watching the assassin killed was something like my shock at hearing

4 commercial airliners were simultaneously hijacked and NORAD wasn't responding.

Impossible to believe . . .

5. Every time I see anything about the Kennedy assassination,
I cry. I still remember the day so very clearly, as well as the day Oswald was shot.
