He really captures HM beautifully.

3. I am a 50 year old female heterosexual and I remember vividly

what happened to Harvey Milk and I was appalled. I had no opinion one way or the other, but this incident put me on the path to supporting homosexuals and arguing against those who opposed them. His life was truly lived as a hero for what he believed in and supported. If everyone did that in their lives the world would be better for it.

And of course he's still a hero to many. I only learned about him from a documentary years ago and it always bothered me that more people did not know his story. Sean Penn is just once again someone to be grateful for and Gus Van Sant has been a master throughout his career. I smell Oscar and even more of a revolution of thought from this than Brokeback Mountain.

People often dismaiss art as frivolous but often it can change the world. I can't wait!
