1. The way Rep. Hunter calls it, Gitmo is like Club Med.
Hunter, "Waterboarding, as you know, does not drown..." Geez! Cenk does a great job dealing with these people.

2. A Wingnut Can Never Understand...
When America becomes like its enemies it becomes less like America. They exalt the "American way of life" and then pitch it in the fire at the first test of our convictions. Machismo that covers a pathetic sense of fear and cowardice.

Marquess of Queensberry Rules?

This had to be a talking points creation. It sounds "French" or "Old European" and therefore impugns that immature, bullshit sense of machismo.

Theses rules were created for Boxing.

I hate Republicans.

6. Marquess of Queensberry Rules
It is outrageous to refer to the Geneva conventions as some sports boxing rules. And by the way, during the Nuremberg trials nobody got tortured and every Nazi had the right to Habeas Corpus. It is a shame the Republicans are badmouthing the Nuremberg trials, which laid the foundation for the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
Keep in mind that I am an Austrian.

4. Haven't 5 or 6 prisoners died while in custody?
And considering that their imprisonment is totally illegal, I think that fits the definition of murder.

And he still brags about the rice pilaf. :banghead:

12. well actually, there have been a couple of dozen homicides committed by guards
Edited on Tue Sep-09-08 10:46 PM by provis99
But maybe Hunter means prisoners haven't murdered each other. That makes it alright.

Human Rights First noted that there have been 108 murders committed by guards and others in US prisons like Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo, by the US governments own admission, as of mid-2005. No one has been charged. The number is probably much more than that now.

5. Hunter is crazy and has been for a long time. To condone
torture and the holding of prisoners indefinitely is beyond disgraceful in my opinion.
