2. This is very moving. Thank you for posting this.
My father was a Republican all his life, but I have no doubt that he would be disgusted with what the Republicans have done under Bush. We must remember that they are not all bad, nor are they all stupid. Their fear of big government has some legitimacy, and they are not all authoritarians.

8. I think this is why Obama doesn't go too negative to reinforce that trust. I think if he stands->
back the McCain ticket will collapse under its own weight of nothing to offer.
