That's a whole lot of dithering on the Pakistan question for someone who says "you can't blink". This is truly scary.

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Bush Doctrine is a phrase used to describe various related foreign policy principles of United States president George W. Bush, created in the wake of the September 11, 2001 attacks. The phrase initially described the policy that the United States had the right to treat countries that harbor or give aid to terrorist groups as terrorists themselves, which was used to justify the invasion of Afghanistan.<1> Later it came to include additional elements, including the controversial policy of preventive war, which held that the United States should depose foreign regimes that represented a threat to the security of the United States, even if that threat was not immediate (used to justify the invasion of Iraq), a policy of supporting democracy around the world, especially in the Middle East, as a strategy for combating the spread of terrorism, and a willingness to pursue U.S. military interests in a unilateral way.<2><3><4> Some of these policies were codified in a National Security Council text entitled the National Security Strategy of the United States published on September 20, 2002.<5>

6. She gets an "F"
She doesn't understand the Bush Doctrine. It doesn't matter if she's for it or against it, she has no clue what it is. If she were all for it (which I am not), I would not hold it against her as much if she at least knew what she is talking.

Her other answers convinced me that she's not ready to be president, either.

She may have been a good mayor of Wasila, but that's a part time political job and it doesn't prepare any one to be president.

8. War as a last option is ABSOLOUTELY not what McCain believes.
LOOK AT HIS GODDAMN WORDS AND HIS RECORD. JUST LOOK AT IT! It's all right there. Somebody who is allowed to speak calls themselves by the corporate lords in media, business, and government call her on this. Please, somebody who plays a "Democrat" on TV bring McCain's view on this stuff up.

Jesus Christ. I'm so tired of this false "terrorism," "defense," and "national security" shit. The real issues are globalization, environment, resources, population, and energy. That's fucking root issue behind these wars. We don't have to "defend" ourselves against anybody. Muslims are no fucking threat. This "defense" shit is such a false pretense that it's infuriating. Everybody in the world is scared to death of us.

17. Hard for me to feel sorry for her
Not after how she acted at the convention. She could have pretended to be a nice lady there and not alienated so many who are sympathetic to the left. Instead, she was a spiteful ninny, and endeared herself to right wingers and the media only.

After what she said about community organizers, it's going to be hard for me to feel sorry for her as this just gets worse and worse for her.

She does look about horrified, though, as she repeats her talking points to reassure her right-wing sheeple. "Radical Islam blah blah blah..." That's all the right-wing needs to hear. Smart people understand that she's not only not answering the questions, she doesn't understand them.

Obama seems to be using the tortoise and the hare approach and just laughing her off. He is shaking me up right now. When is he going to start slamming these repuks out there.

Can anybody calm me down?

22. another Republican who won't say 'yes' or 'no'
I think they should hook all major politicians up to lie detectors and make them answer yes or no questions about the policy views. So sick of these 'maybe yes' and 'maybe no' questions. Besides, while she's hooked up, the rapture might begin - or at least the television reception in Alaska would improve.

Oh, and by the way, I can see Mexico from where I live. Suddenly I'm a foreign affairs genius about Mexico, let alone the world. Smell me!

He looked irritated that he had to feed it to her and her lack of a yes or no in her "sea of words"- ... If this doesn't motivate more people to prevent her from gracing the door of the White House (even on the tour) I just do not know what will...SCARY!!!

She sounded little different in the clip than in the other clip of her reading the sports report for an Alaska TV station.

35. She did a pretty good job of winging a question that she
obviously knew nothing about, just like any other foxy talker. She appeared to be taken aback and fumbled a little bit there; I could almost read her mind. Bush is unknowledgable but at least he had some experience in the broader political world. She just doesn't have what it takes to keep up a sustainable front. God help us if she ever gets to a position of power in the greater US.

50. "Why is Charlie Gibson behaving like such as ass? "
The freepers have a big problem admitting their candidate is McLame.

LOL funny stuff: http://www.volokh.com/posts/1221175705.shtml

"... the result of really bad coaching"

"Charlie Gibson never asked these questions of Obama."

Crunchy Frog: "At some point it's a wonder she didn't flat out tell Gibson, "Asked and answered, Douchebag. Next?""

"To me it sounded like a trick question ... The "Bush Doctrine" can mean anything to the MSM"

"Why Gibson and the media in general haven't you gone after Obama in the same way?"

"...no one is defending her everyone is attacking the questions"

"The "Bush Doctrine" question was a gotcha question. It means different things to different people. I get asked those questions all the time."

"She did reasonably well. But Gibson asked her some stupid "gotcha" questions..."
