That is the 2008 equivalent of calling McCain out to a duel!
Guess we'll have to wait until Sarah appears with Dave, what with John being such a man of his word and all.

McCain: I gotta go to washington to save the world
What a bunch of hype. What a poser. I love that Letterman pumped it up like McCain did, only to show the man was grandstanding. Letterman is the best at mockery.

I've watched Dave for years and I've never seen anything like it.
The upside is that a lot of people get their news from late night TV and this will translate into lost votes for MCCain and more votes for Obama.

16. Mighty Mouse McCain arrives just after the nick of time |
|
With all his delays, McCain didn't make it back to DC until after it was too late for him to help close the tentative deal. "Heeeeeeere I come to save the . . . what? Already saved? Well, OK then."
Then the House Republicans blocked it, and Mighty Mouse decided it was OK to fly off to the debates. "Heeere I go, having saved the . . . what? Not saved? Aw, wtf, I'm in the air, we might as well go ahead with the debate. But Sarah's still canceling hers."

It's not presidential to get openly mocked constantly on tv like that. Dave does it with Bush and always has, but there was a difference in it. It was kind of joking but for everybody to laugh at, something that maybe even Bush, or earlier Clinton, could laugh at a little themselves. But this stuff here just made McCain look like a petty fool. Letterman just treated him and made him look like a clown.
