Barack Obama urged calm as he called for a bi-partisan effort to pass a rescue bill for our nation's faltering economy. Spoken in Westminster, CO September 29th, 2008.

3. Obama is a leader. McCain, the "GOP leader", couldn't get GOP to pass the Wall Street Welfare Bill

4. Yes, he is saying a lot of good things, but somebody is spiking his orange juice with kool-aid
if he thinks that we got oversight in that version of the bill. Aren't Paulson, Bernacke and Cox three of the five OVERSEERS? Wow, that gives me confidence. The guys who got us into this and who are up to their armpits in the slop are going to decide how this plan works.

Go to Salon.com and read Glenn Greenwald under Opinion to get a better idea of what's going down.

Our man Obama is trying to be the populist without stomping on Pelosi and Reid and Dodd and Frank's toes. But he needs to get real about this bill. It isn't going to help reform anything.

I am at a loss as to how we are going to get the Big Four Dem enablers to stand for a really effective measure. Very frustrating.

I think that the Republicans did us a HUGE FAVOR today by voting this thing down. Just my $.02.

5. Such a contrast to McCain's hit-and-run statement. That's our president. nt
