During her interview with Katie Couric, Sarah Palin did not answer Katie Couric as to what her position is on the morning after pill, only stating what her personal choice would be.

Palin opposes abortion even in cases of rape and incest and believes life begins at conception. Whether or not she believes the morning after pill is abortion and should be illegal is unclear by her answer.

Palin has come under fire for charging rape victims for rape kits during her time as Mayor of Wasilla, Alaska. The rape kits contained morning after pills.

2. I guess you noticed...
She does her best not to answer most questions. It's like double talk almost. It's a disgrace that we have a person like that running for VP of this country. I think we all should be able to walk down the street and tell which party every person we meet is going to vote for. The repukes faces should be red!!:grr:

4. Palin's non-answer should anger her fundie base.
She gave an ambiguous answer on whether she thinks other women should be allowed to take the morning after pill. She said that she personnally wouldn't. That's fine. But the fundies think the only form of birth control is abstinence and Palin's answer should honk them off.

Her answer is not much different than those from pro-choice people who were asked if they support the right to abortion. In 2004, John Kerry said he personnally wouldn't abort, but did not think it's in his authority to tell other people whether they can or not. The Right-to-Life nazis went ballistic over the answer in my county and went on a crusade telling Catholics that they cannot vote for Kerry, lest you be excommunicated from the church.

5. She has 4 kids and her daughter has 2, of course we know

that SHE personally wouldn't take it or any other contraception. Hmmmm. Maybe now that her daughter is on child #2, it has changed her opinion? Otherwise why so dodgy? She certainly wouldn't be dodgy about a position that was anti-choice.

6. TRANSCRIPT revealing - McCain-Palin policy = administration policy ??
Palin: Well, I'm, I'm all for contraception and I'm all for any preventative methods that are legal and safe and should be taken, but Katie, again, I am one to believe that life starts at the moment of conception, and a I

Couric: Ergo, you don't believe in the morning after pill?

Palin: I would like to see, I would like to see fewer and fewer abortions in this world and, again, I haven't spoken with anyone who disagrees with my position on that.

Couric: I'm sorry, I just want to ask you again, do you condone or condemn the morning after pill?

Palin: Personally, and this isn't the a McCain-Palin policy, administration policy, but

Couric: No, that's okay. I'm just asking you.

Palin: But personally I would not chose to participate in that kind of contraception.

7. She should hit up Wikipedia again
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Morning_after_pill

"The United States FDA states that progestin-only ECPs like Plan B work by preventing ovulation."

It is irrelevant that she believes "life begins at the moment of conception" because the Morning After pill is designed to PREVENT CONCEPTION. She is A) uninformed and B) confusing the issue.

I would say she's doing it intentionally, but I don't believe she's informed enough or savvy enough to distort so purposefully.
