Following John McCain's supposed suspension of his campaign and last minute cancellation of his appearance on that night's 'Late Show with David Letterman', on Sept. 24th, the host ponders the reasoning behind the "suspension" and wonders why McCain's second-in-command couldn't continue on with the campaign.


NOTE: This clip is an edited version of Dave's comments from the night, specific to the campaign suspension and what it says about McCain's choice of running mate. (Other clips seemed to have too little or too much extraneous content, and I wanted to capture Dave's focus on Palin's inability to step-up and take charge.)
