and read some of the reaction on this story. Of the 75 or so comments left there, about 80% are pissed off republicans as it relates to this being covered by TMZ. Seems to have struck quite a nerve with the hypocritical conservatives. And that make me :) ....... Therefore I will do my part and kick this thread again in the interest of pissing off more republicans.

too. Undeniably women are treated differently. It's funny in a way because it's so absurd and Palin herself is an absurd figure, but it's a low thing to portray a woman politician like a sex object. Hillary, Nancy Pelosi, Olympia Snowe etc, those are serious people, serious as any male politician, so, in a way, it's a major sleight to all women to have Palin portrayed that way. And she's definitely the main focus of it. It's getting a little too close to the concept that women have to get ahead by being sex objects or sleeping around, very touchy topic material, because when have been dehumanized like that for centuries. It's like portraying a black person in a negative way as a slave, it's something that is made even worse because of the history.

I noticed it during the primary, the media would scream at the slightest whiff of racism but would cheer on, and even avidly participate, in every sexist crap that came down the pike. Comments about her appearance were standard, as were remarks about her voice (shrill), her laughter (cackle), etc.

Hillary has been featured in porn sites for many years, all of it obviously photoshopped. I guess it's now Palin's turn.

One more proof that this country is still as misogynist as it's always been.

It takes a lot for a guy to even recognize it. I ended up taking several Women's Studies classes like Feminist Literary Theory, for example. I was always one of a few guys in them, sometimes the only straight one. One of the best things I've ever done, it's eye opening.
