1. We can only trust the Enquirer for Dems like John Edwards. Otherwise we should ignore it.
;)

2. And if they didn't act as if
they were all perfect and religious and family values up the ass... it wouldn't matter in the election.

She seems like the type. I usually don't like to say things like that, but she seems like the girl in college that would totally cheat on her hot boyfriend just to prove she was the powerful one in the relationship.

4. Sarah Palin . ..
  • Denies anthropogenic global warming;
  • Opposes a woman's right to choose;
  • Opposes equal rights and protection for gay Americans;
  • Thinks an illegal, imperialist war started by a pack of lies is a task from God;
  • Couldn't pass a high school civics exam.

I don't give a flying fuck if she's ever had an extramarital affair. She should not hold national office.

5. There's one small problem with that line of thinking Rabbit
*You* weren't voting for her anyway. Millions of people who trumpet "family values" (etc.) *are* voting for her, in spite of the things you listed.

As ridiculous as it may be, many of those people would care FAR more about an affair than those practical issues.

6. That's why I hold to practical issues
If I thought like they did, even with democratically-oriented focus rather than a christofascist one, I'd never vote for anybody. That would be impractical.

7. Story get legs ........... why?
McCain is a serial adulterer. The beauty queen he first
married had a terrible
disfiguring accident. As soon as he saw her, and before he
divorced her,
he was already committing adultery with the beer heiress. And
Ross Perot took
over the responsibility of paying her medical bills, since
McCain didn't start
getting his 'allowance' from Cindy until after he married her.

I think we need a Democratic version of the Swift Boat cretins
that will pull out all the stops and portray, nationally, how
vile and deceitful McCain is - and while they are doing that,
make sure Cindy's name and picture are in the ads - every
time. She is an adulterer, no less than he is. She shares the
same
values he does. And now it appears, so does Palin.

For a long time, I paid no mind to electioneering that did not
address the
position of the candidates with respect to my beliefs. But
since Lee Atwater,
the Nixon henchmen and Karl Rove, among others, set in stone
the truism
that elections are not about that, but how much mud will
stick, I have
changed my mind.

Family values, my ass.
