Just in case you thought stopping these phantom terror plots were something new, in Dec. 1983 the FBI took credit for stopping a series of terror plots by Iranians in the Seattle ... only to come out later, well, there wasn't a plot at all. The group blamed was a theater group of Iranians who didn't like the Shah.
