Michelle Obama filled in for Barack today, who is at the side of his ailing grandmother.

Campaigning in Ohio, Michelle touched the hearts and minds of Americans with her praise of supporters.

"We love you Michelle!" a supporter yelled out as she opened her speech.

14. That's the biggest difference between Obama rallies and GOP rallies ...
... when people shout something out at an Obama rally it's supportive.

OTOH, at a GOP rally, the only thing shouted out is hate.

5. it's amazing...
brought a tear to my eye too and i'm a pretty salty bastard. the whole tone between both campaigns is night and day. personally, i'm going to go for optimism and jubilation and leave the hatred and cynicism to the rethuglicans. praise allah! *wink*

7. I got an invite to her event in Akron today.
I couldn't go because I had to get my son from school. :-(

I love Michelle! What a fantastic First Lady she'll be!! A true inspiration for so many woman and girls.

9. I love Michelle, too!
She reminds me of my wife. She is smart, funny, focused, and witty. I can't wait for her to take the position of first lady.

Many moons ago, I received one of those chain emails from a friend with instructions to send it along to ten friends. You know the kind... favorite pie, favorite color, first pet's name, with a million dollars i would..., etc... The one question on that survey that I find really interesting and that I think about frequently was "If you could have a conversation over dinner with anyone, living or dead, would would it be? Over the years, I have thought of many musicians, movie directors, authors, and so on. If asked that question today, I would bend the rules and say TWO people. I would love to host Barack and Michelle Obama for an evening of drinks, dining, and conversation. I think such an evening would be totally intellectually stimulating; and with their senses of humor, I imagine there would be plenty of laughter to boot. I light up whenever I see them speak on the television (including youtube clips on the internets).

I understand that one of Barack's incredible oratory talents is to make his audience feel that he is talking to them personally. I think that is an amazing trait, and I have to say that I am one of those people that feels exactly that way when he speaks. Michelle has that quality, too. It is so refreshing to listen to a politician that speaks with a positive message of hope, and to feel that his message is sincere.

Senator Obama, you have my complete support.

11. I bawled when Michelle spoke at the DNC.
When she talks about a brighter future for our kids, it get me! She seems like such a wonderful wife and mother. And when the girls came out they seemed like the typical American family - no race, creed or color in that scene!
