Here in Oklahoma, many homosexuals are brow-beaten into hiding in the church. It's terrible denial, but unfortunately it happens a lot. Homosexual repression should not be a reason for turning to religion.

Wow! They sure seem to have a whole lot of friends of Dorothy running around at that church.

Note: I say this as a woman who was a) raised by two lesbian women b) have gay friends c) have spent a lot of time in the gay community. I cannot emphasize how loud my gaydar is going off. I guess that sadly, these gay people have to hide in the church and pretend they are something they are not. How terribly sad. Yet the rampant hypocrisy and what these evangelicals are doing to gays and in playing "holier than thou" is sickening and some how, there is some shadenfreude here.
