2. Fuck Juan Williams he was spewing RW bullshit last night |
|
when he talked about how much Obama had to overcome what were the big hurdles? The left of the Democratic party and the "grievance based" old leaders of the civil rights movement or some such shit. That's right folks it's the left that has been the biggest obstacle to racial equality. Fuck you Williams.

6. I am not fond of him - or his politics - either. |
|
His reaction here, IMO, is real. He and the majority of black people living in this country were moved by Obama's accomplishment. Last night, I think most black folk, even those you consider Uncle Toms, were proud. On November 4, 2008, racial pride trumped political party.

I agree. Yes, I may disagree with his politics. But just like I can't say a black person is wrong for voting for a black person (with that being their main reason), I can't help but think that this is a true and genuine outpouring of long held emotions. I have no idea what it is like to be black, grow up black, be looked at as "black". I can never know what it is like to walk in his shoes. I can only hope it felt like he always hoped it would feel.

8. Jesse Jackson WAS and IS no Barack Obama.....morons!! |
|
Edited on Wed Nov-05-08 09:26 PM by Hulk
Yeah....screw juan williams. A neocon black man...nothing more. NOW he takes joy in the US electing a black man to the presidency, despite ALL OF HIS bullshit and distortions.
juan williams speaks for juan williams. he speaks for the neocon party. he speaks for those moron minorities that support the repug party line, thinking that it really has their interests at heart. he is your true "uncle tom".
Jesse Jackson was and is a visionary, and a brave man who was thrown into the limelight with the murder of Dr. Martin Luther King. He is only a shadow of MLK, and he is NOT Barack Obama.
Barack Obama won, not because he is black, but because he is a intelligent, gifted and honest politician who has the interests of this country at heart FIRST....not a "minority agenda", not a "socialist agenda", but an agenda to right this ship that has been shit on for the last eight years specifically, and the last 28 years generally...since the fabrication of ronnie the senile.
Good luck and with ALL OF OUR HELP, we can make this country something to be proud of again. Barack won't be able to do it alone. These pigs will be fighting him every step of the way....juan williams included.
F*ck juan williams.

10. I've gotten choked up many times the past 24 hours. |
|
Including after watching that.
I was in the military before the "whites only" signs disappeared from the South, saw the "colored" signs on water fountains and restrooms in public places, grew up in apartheid. My first major political battle was 1972, fighting the racist Wallacites with blacks in Texas, after getting out of the military.
I'm overwhelmed at the joy in seeing us finally do the right thing.
