Top MD Election Official Rips Off Microphone When Asked About Diebold Voting Machines

VelvetRevolutionn has obtained an unaired major TV interview with Maryland's top election official, Linda Lamone, in the weeks prior to the 2006 election. This is a must-see video.

The dogged reporter who conducted the interview tried valiantly to get candid answers from Lamone (Administrator of Maryland's State Board of Elections and President of the National Association of State Election Directors) regarding the security and accuracy of the Diebold paperless touchscreen machines used in Maryland. Lamone, in response, said that respected computer expert Avi Rubin had done more than anyone to undermine confidence in electronic voting, that the reporter was living in a "fantasy-land" to believe that voting machines are insecure, and that source code used in the voting machines is "not relevant."
