I was a junior in a very homophobic high school in 1989 when I first heard this in a community theater in my hometown of Alamogordo, NM, and I have been in love with it ever since. I sing it all the time as it helps me remember why I love this country so much. Please kick and rec to the top. I would love to just keep all of this great energy flowing following this historic election.
