1. At least he's smart enough not to go anywhere near the slaughter while talking to the press. |

using Bush and Smart in the same sentance. It was probably just practice for the coming onslaught of repig pardons. I'm surprised he didn't fuck it up. Someone must have hidden his bottle this morning.

nobody hid the bottle. Either he was doing early morning drinking, or he was at it late last night. Welcome to DU

I can't watch this again because he's so repulsive, but he let rip with one real good jawjerk during this photo-op. I'll bet the booze bill for the WH's last quarter will be set a record. :eyes:

And they are pretty impressive birds, but I imagine they choose the largest and most impressive birds for what is really just a photo op. It's really unfortunate that they are so unhealthy because of the weight, as anyone with pets knows, but I guess the alternative is a hell of a lot worse. I saw that gruesome Sarah Palin video more times than I like to think about, but it was totally impossible to avoid. They were showing it, yet again, on MSNBC, so I quickly changed to CNN, but they were showing it there, too... x(

This is one of the more patronizing human carnivore "traditions", designed to garner a few giggles from participants in the annual American animal sacrifice bloodbath called Thanksgiving: pardoning turkeys. For what, exactly?
Go vegan.
