5. So, the Israelis have lost 10 soldiers...
4 to friendly fire- While they have killed at least 1000 Palestinians in a blockaded, overcrowded little patch of land where they have to smuggle food in through tunnels just to keep people fed.

Does this scenario sound familiar to anyone else?

Can you say "Warsaw Uprising"?

7. And a good number of the many wounded might wish they were dead with the 1,000 +
after the horrors they have and will continue to endure.

A big disgusting shame on "our Representatives"!

8. Abandoned diplomacy and total military force....
Gosh....sounds an awful lot like the f*ck-tard we have in the White House and HIS administration of thugs and criminals.

It is good FOR ME to hear that there are Jewish people who are opposed to the terrible criminal and heinous crimes the israeli government has been involved in since 1967 and especially today against the men, WOMEN and CHILDREN of Gaza.

Cowards!! Stinking, crawling cowards!

11. Avi Shlaim, the world's leading academic authority on Israel-Arab relations
About the Author, Avi Shlaim

I cannot emphasize enough the importance of reading everything by this author. Here is an Iraqi born, Arabic speaking Jew who genuinely understands the Israel/Arab conflict from all sides and writes with incredible eloquence and a multi-cultural understanding.

About the Author

Avi Shlaim was born in Baghdad in 1945, grew up in Israel, and studied at Cambridge and the London School of Economics. He is a Fellow of St. Anthony’s College and a Professor of International Relations at the University of Oxford. He was elected a Fellow of the British Academy in 2006. His books include Collusion Across the Jordan: King Abdullah, the Zionist Movement, and the Partition of Palestine, The Iron Wall: Israel and the Arab World, and War and Peace in the Middle East: A Concise History. He lives in Berlin.

ABSOLUTELY EVERYONE MUST READ Avi Shlaim's, The Iron Wall: Israel and The Arab World

(I might add that Avi Shlaim is definitely a Zionist. He was actually born in Baghdad, Iraq in 1945 with Arabic as his first language and immigrated to Israel with his family as a small child of five years in 1950. He makes it quite clear in his books that he strongly believes establishing the Jewish state was a historic necessity and a great accomplishment. However he also acknowledge the grave injustice this project brought upon the Palestinian people and the confusion created within the Arab world)

16. It sounded as if Amy Goodman's
voice was a little cracked with emotion in the begininng. I can't imagine what the reporters over there are feeling.
