1. His lightning quick action to publicly reverse awful Bush decisions is meant to SHAME him... |
|
... and even if it doesn't work on HIM personally, it's shocking the public and is waking a lot of people up.
Bush's "legacy" isn't "damaged" or "worst president ever".
He'll be mentioned in the same breath as tyrants, dictators and despots.

6. To me it's not just ONE issue... |
|
It's Gitmo, torture, lobbyists, stem-cells, action to make it harder for Bush to claim executive privilege, appointing people opposed to warrantless wiretapping, allowing aid for int'l orgs that perform abortions, and several other items that haven't made the "big" news.
And yes, there are other key issues I want to see him work on, but I am confident he will get to them. We can't expect him to solve ALL of our problems in 4-5 days! His priorities are clearly: undoing Bush's worst fuck ups, restoring morality to our country, military and intelligence communities, and letting SCIENCE and MEDICINE thrive after having been hindered for so many years.
Think about this... If stem cell research/trials displays a FRACTION of the potential benefits doctors believe, ultimately many people may end up owing their very life to President Barack Hussein Obama. That knocks me back a step.
It has been a hell of a first week. I expected these changes to happen, but expected they would take weeks or months to be addressed. I expected it to be a frustratingly slow process of undoing the Bush years - and would have been satisfied to see progress at a much slower clip. But Obama's rolling at a mile a minute. I can't WAIT to see what will happen next week.
Thank God we have him. I couldn't possibly be happier after week 1.

I'm so used to avoiding the news (bad news was impeding my health), I didn't know this was real.
You go, Obama!
